So tried to play #Wildstar for the 3rd time, I can't understand why my brothers are so "OMG It's great! What is wrong with you for not liking it." Each time I end up 20 minutes in and start thinking of what else I could be doing other that playing it. There is nothing of it that engages me in the slightest. This is coming from someone with many paid hours logged in mmo's - raptr has tracked a fraction of my hours: http://raptr.com/globeadue/games?sort_by=hours_played so I have some reference points. If the game cannot engage me while its in beta, why would I want to buy it and pay a subscription every month once it goes live in 2 weeks. So congrats @WildStar on building my mmorpg anathema. Everywhere I look, I find people saying the game changes and becomes fun at lvl 20, and then becomes even better at 40, @ 1hr a level, I'm not blowing 40 hours and my money on a 'maybe'. Game should of been fun and engaging from level 0. I should not need to strive to 20 to hope to find the fun of it. Game should of given a taste of endgame so I knew what to expect, what I'm striving for, why I endure 20 hours more to get to the fun stuff.
So about this 3rd times game play:
Having a forced upon you story line was pretty rough too and poorly executed...
In this play session... games starts... a rickety cryo chamber with a guy saying we cannot find your wifes cryo tube, records are lost, systems have failed... they accidentally pull your tube and wake you up thinking your tube is hers... You stand up, go talk to the husband, run to a console, and poof you just magically found her tube wtf is that about... #fail I have now given up completely on the story line and just escape out of cut scenes/ don't bother with reading narratives.
go kill robots quest, i run into room spamming attack button rounding up 6 or mobs, bam dead
do it again bam dead and again and again #mindless
notice exp bar isn't moving, their not dropping loot and leave the area and complete quest
Next, you are given a bunch of run around talk to people quest in a bar... done(no clue what they said i was clicking throug everything), now use the teleporter... wtf is a teleporter inventory empty, no abilities are called teleporter, mini map direction marker hasn't changed, no objects in the room have any glow effects to them or arrows or leaders to them... as I make my second circuit around the room looking for something to click thats not a person, I head out of he room in hopes the arrow will update, as I cross the dias in the middle of the room I teleport...#fail 8(
Poof level - get a class quest and a kill quest... great, go kill... kill quest done class quest remains undone, other points me in a direction, i kill my way there, then past it, then back then again... no credit.. wtf... then I realize its telling me the objecti s above me...wtf, go upstairs, and some terminal gives me the quest... back down to kill.. done nothing happens, quest window changes to 1 quest remains explore the area wtf
i kill everything on the map, nothing fight my way out to complete the kill quest i did, screw it, wasting my time trying to do that quest and not getting exp from these mobs. #fail low level quests not dropping items or exp
Now I'm in a multi tiered room with a 2d top down map trying to locate my objective again... #fail at this point I was sick of it, the ui, the story, the objective systems etc. If they wanted to cater to new to mmo players in the low levels, there should be some advance skip away from the noob garden and intro stupidity.

3D Printers
Hmm,
has anyone else noticed that 3D printers are essentially 1 step closer
to replicator technology in Star Trek? We have them printing food, cars,
guns, drugs and a host of misc doodads now...
Imagine 5 years from now when you grabbing cartridges like you do now for inkjets...
How will military deployments look like having the ability to print out
any replacement parts tools etc by just having a tanker truck of goo
and a printer... what about supply drops to field units, no need to
special load the supply drop, all it needs is a canister of goo and a
printer. Once the supply drop is ordered, the team requests what they
need and in flight the dropbox is already at work printing the supplies
requested.
Personally I want to be able to print fantasy
miniatures for playing warhammer 40k and dungeons and dragons etc. I
mean really, who doesn't want a set of miniatures in their own likeness?
$500 + printing supplies is a bit to expensive for personal
use at the moment, I'm just biding my time... Maybe kinko's will offer 5 cent prints.. hmm

Good Quality Pants
Okay, I wear a size 7xl 6xl pant.
Pants do not last long for me, they rip in all sorts of places.
The one pair of pants that seem to last the longest are these:
Harbor Bay® Elastic-Waist Twill Pants Item # 85160 @ casualmalexl.com
I have bought various pants from kingsizedirect.com and while kingsizedirect's prices kick casualmalexl $10 vs $45, I've had several of the $10 rip within 1 hour of putting on. I haven't bought their $40-50 pants. but at this point in my life, I want something that works and those harbor bay's seem to be it. Sure I've had them rip within a month on me but its only been a couple pairs that do it.
Seems to me the design of the pants needs changed, big folk put stresses on pants normal size folk don't. Esp from standing to sitting.

Pant Pocket Buttons
Am I the only fat guy that knows that pocket buttons shouldn't exist on big folk pants?
I think every single pair of pants i own has had the back pocket buttons ripped from them when sitting into chairs, resulting in either the buttons destruction or rips in the pants, or both.
I just put on a brand new pair of pants, and not 6 hours later have they nice new shiny hole in the back side where the metal rivet button existed...
